SPIS Railways Construction Annual Safety Day: A Commitment to Safety

On July 4th, SPIS Railways Construction held its Annual Safety Day in the south of Israel, under the scorching summer sun. This important event brought together all company employees to reinforce the commitment to safety in every aspect of their work.


The day began with opening words from Yoki Ordan, CEO of SPIS Railways Construction, who emphasized the company’s dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards. His speech set the tone for a day filled with valuable insights and training sessions.


Driver Training was led by Nathan Mordechai, Traffic Safety Officer, who provided essential guidelines and best practices for safe driving.


This was followed by a session on Safety at Work on and Near Tracks by Amos Pratok, Divisional Safety and Quality Manager from the Operations and Infrastructure Division of Israel Railways. Amos highlighted the critical precautions necessary when working in proximity to railway tracks.


Ofir Shevach, Electrification Manager at Israel Railways, conducted an informative session on Safety at Work in an Electrified Environment, stressing the unique challenges and safety measures required in such settings.


Israel Marko, Deputy CEO of Israel Railways, shared his insights on Work Safety, reinforcing the importance of a safety-first mindset across all operations.


Hilik Dahan, Traffic Safety expert, presented a session on Driving on Tracks - Learning from Previous Events, where he analyzed past incidents to draw lessons and improve future safety protocols.


The day concluded with Reuven Liptel, SPIS Safety Officer, discussing Safety at Work Sites, ensuring that all employees are well-versed in maintaining a safe working environment.


Despite the intense heat, the dedication and participation of all employees underscored SPIS Railways Construction’s unwavering commitment to safety. This Annual Safety Day not only provided crucial training but also strengthened the collective resolve to prioritize safety in every task.
